How to access the Terastation at home

Our Terastations are only accessible to Johns Hopkins intranet computers. In order to access the Terastation at home, you must connect your PC to JH Intranet using VPN (Virtual Private Network).

VPN is freely supplied by the JHU network, and can be downloaded from:
http://www.it.jhu.edu/restricted/infosec/jhsecure/index.html
Your JHU network/email account and password are requested at login.
Based on your account type, select JHsecure-JHMI or JHsecure-JHU to download for your PC.
VPN Client software is also available on our Terastation, you could download it using the PC at any JHU/JHMI office. \\10.16.96.250\share\VPN

The steps to accessing the Terastation are:
1. Install VPN Client on your PC at home

2. Restart your PC

3. Run VPN Client

4. Input your JHU network/email account and password and click “Connect”

5. Type the addres (\\10.16.96.250) in the Microsoft Internet Explorer address box.

Now you are connected to the Terastation and may download your data!
